PA Prime Minister Muhammad Shtayyeh: “Today an agreement will be signed on renewing the work in the Yatta region south of Hebron on the sewage project that has been stopped for a long time. The agreement is worth $57 million. This is alongside additional parallel projects of a total worth reaching $70 million.

Aid has been given to the hospitals in Jerusalem following the stoppage of the American aid, such that payments were arranged for the Augusta Victoria Hospital, and two days ago a 45 million [Israeli] shekel payment was promised to the Al-Makassed Hospital in order to help get the hospital out of the crisis it is in and for its reorganization.

A sum of $55 million was allocated for projects that will cover the sectors of health, education, youth, and aid for the poor through non-profit and governmental institutions in Jerusalem, Gaza, and the rest of the areas in the Palestinian territories, and this is from the Arab Fund for Economic and Social Development (AFESD) in Kuwait, and therefore the fund has my thanks. We are in talks with them to increase the scope of this aid.”
