Farwaneh explained that among the prisoners who have been sentenced, there are 1,524 prisoners who are serving an active prison term of more than 10 years. Among them are 180 prisoners who are serving 10-15 years, 308 prisoners who are serving 15-20 years, and 494 who are serving more than 20 years and less than life, while the rest – whose number stands at 542 – are serving one or more life sentences. Regarding this, Farwaneh noted that in addition to the aforementioned, 360 prisoners among the prisoners who have been sentenced are serving 5-10 years, and the rest who were sentenced, whose number stands at 905, were sentenced to less than 5 years of imprisonment.”
