Fatah-run Awdah TV narrator: “O guardians of [Jerusalem’s] walls! O guardians of its mosques, its churches, and its stones! O those who wave its flag above its Dome of the Rock! …
Because defending Jerusalem is not [just] a normal duty, but rather a test of our religious and national conscience, Fatah calls on you to set out against the provocative flag march, which will be held tomorrow, Sunday, in Jerusalem as part of the attempts by the occupation and its settlers to Judaize our eternal capital. Jerusalem is waiting for its guardians, so don't be negligent and don't let their flags wave in our sky.”

Posted text on Facebook page: “The Fatah Movement calls on you to come out against the provocative [Jerusalem Day] flag march, which will be held tomorrow, Sunday [May 29, 2022], in Jerusalem as part of the attempts by the occupation and its settlers to Judaize our eternal capital.”

Jerusalem Day – An Israeli national holiday that marks the reunification of Jerusalem after the Six Day War in 1967 when Israel liberated East Jerusalem from Jordanian rule. It is celebrated on the 28th of the Hebrew month of Iyar with celebrations and ceremonies throughout Israel. A flag march is traditionally held in Jerusalem, which begins in the city center, goes through the Old City, and ends at the Western Wall. Jerusalem Day has regularly been met by violent Arab riots, particularly in Jerusalem.
