Abu Zuhri called on the European Union (EU) states to appoint a neutral side to check the Palestinian and Israeli curricula. This is in order to cover the inciting and racist content that appears in the Israeli schoolbooks against everything Arab and Palestinian, and to have it proven that the Palestinian schoolbooks are consistent with all the international standards…
Abu Zuhri emphasized that the occupation is waging a media and diplomatic campaign against the Palestinian schoolbooks claiming that they contain content spreading hate and encouraging violence, while ignoring that the Palestinian people is realizing its legitimate right to resist the occupation that is implementing all types of violence, discrimination, and uprooting against the Palestinian people. [He noted that] what arouses concern is that a number of states of the EU – which is conditioning its aid to the Palestinian people on changing the curriculum – are cooperating with these claims.”
