"Palestinian national identity has lasted more than 5,000 years" lies PA TV

Official PA TV program On the Horizon

Official PA TV host: “The feeling of national identity passes as an inheritance from generation to generation. We are not talking about [something] starting from the days of the Nakba (i.e., “the catastrophe,” the Palestinian term for the establishment of the State of Israel), and not starting from the days of the Naksa (i.e., "the setback," Palestinian term for Israel's victory in the Six Day War). We are talking about more than 4,000 and 5,000 years (sic., the Palestinians have no history prior to modern times) that the national identity has been inherited in the land of Palestine. These are not slogans. Whoever reads the history carefully will reach this truth. Even in the current period, when we hear about a refugee child, he is still even today talking about Lod, Jaffa, Safed, Haifa, and Acre (i.e., all Israeli cities). He is talking about the homeland.”
