Highlighting the terrorist prisoner who earned a BA, MA, and PhD in Israeli prison, PA TV says terrorist prisoners “give us lessons in principles even after being arrested”
Official PA TV program Good Morning Jerusalem, on terrorist prisoner Hamza Al-Kalouti who was involved in a Hamas car bombing in 2001 that caused property damage
Official PA TV host and text on screen: “The prisoners are giving us lessons in principles even after being arrested. Foremost among them is that resolve is the only choice of free people, and that submission is forbidden and tantamount to treason…
Prisoner Hamza Al-Kalouti(i.e., terrorist, involved in car bombing) joined the ranks of the resistance members, until he was arrested in an ambush set for him by the occupation soldiers in one of the streets of the occupied capital [Jerusalem] during ‘the Al-Aqsa Intifada’ (i.e., PA terror campaign 2000-2005, more than 1,100 Israelis murdered) in 2001. He withstood a difficult 40-day interrogation, and then was sentenced to life. During his imprisonment Hamza suffered from deliberate medical neglect (sic., see note below regarding PA libel on medical abuse of Palestinian prisoners), and his illnesses – infections in the respiratory system, joints, and large intestine – were not treated at all. Since the occupation’s insolence denied him the right to treatment, he was forced to declare a hunger strike, and he triumphed and extricated his right to undergo an operation…
Even though he suffered from medical neglect he made many achievements, such as obtaining a bachelor’s degree, master’s degree, and doctoral degree, in addition to obtaining a license to teach in the prisons from a number of universities. He also published his first book in 2009, titled ‘Wondrous Inspiring Stories From the Quran.’”
