Following festive Jerusalem Day flag march, PA Prime Minister states that "Israel did not succeed in breaking our people’s willpower"
“In his speech at the start of the [PA governmental] meeting, [PA] Prime Minister Muhammad Shtayyeh said that Israel has crossed all the red lines and international lines and violated all the agreements with its recurring aggression against the Al-Aqsa Mosque and Jerusalem, and with its attempt to impose a reality that opposes the historical status quo at the Jerusalem Noble Sanctuary (i.e., the Temple Mount).
Shtayyeh emphasized that Israel did not succeed in breaking our people’s willpower, imposing sovereignty on it, and subjugating it, even though it mobilized more than 3,000 police officers and soldiers and approximately 40,000 settlers to wave its flag in the streets of Jerusalem [on Jerusalem Day].”
