PA supports UN rep's Antisemitism

“The [PA] Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates condemned the attack of incitement and deception that [Israeli] occupation state transitional Prime Minister Yair Lapid carried out against the UN Human Rights Council investigative committee (i.e., Lapid condemned Antisemitism of committee member who said “Jewish lobby” controls social media and questioned why Israel is a UN member -Ed.). [PA also condemned] his demand that UN Secretary-General [António Guterres] disband the committee, and his repetition of the regular accusations against the committee, which we are already tired of hearing, according to which it is ‘antisemitic.’

In a press release today, Monday [Aug. 1, 2022], the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that Lapid’s words reflect the Israeli arrogance that is based on belittling the UN, its various bodies, and its resolutions…

It emphasized that whoever fears the UN investigative committees needs to stop committing violations and crimes… instead of coming out with statements for election purposes and hurling accusations at international bodies that are carrying out their role in accordance with international law.”
