Abbas appoints Shari’ah judge in the Gaza Strip

Headline: “A new Shari’ah judge from the Gaza Strip is sworn in before the [PA] supreme Shari’ah judge”

“Shari’ah Judge Mahmoud Muqat was sworn in before [PA] Supreme Shari’ah Judge of Palestine and [PA] President [Mahmoud Abbas’] Advisor on Religious Affairs and Islamic Relations Mahmoud Al-Habbash. This was after his appointment by President Mahmoud Abbas as Shari’ah judge over the personnel of the Shari’ah courts in the Gaza Strip.”

Mahmoud Al-Habbash also serves as Chairman of the Supreme Council for Shari'ah Justice.
