PA claims Israel is holding 13 journalists in prison

Among the prominent journalists who are serving high sentences in the occupation’s prisons and throughout the years of their imprisonment succeeded in producing poetry and literature and contributed knowledge in various fields, even though they were prevented from carrying out their work: Mahmoud Issa (i.e., terrorist, involved in murder of 3), who is serving 3 life sentences and 46 years, and Bassem Al-Khandaqji (i.e., terrorist, involved in murder of 3), who is serving 3 life sentences.”

 

Mahmoud Issa – Palestinian terrorist and member of the Hamas cell that kidnapped and murdered Israeli border police officer Nissim Toledano on Dec. 13, 1992. Issa also shot and murdered 2 Israeli police officers – Daniel Hazut and Mordechai Yisrael – at Talmei Elazar Junction east of Hadera on March 30, 1993. Issa also attempted to run over 2 Israeli soldiers and shot and wounded an Israeli police officer. Issa is serving 3 life sentences and an additional 46 years.

Bassem Al-Khandaqji - member of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP). Serving 3 life sentences for his involvement in the suicide bombing at the Tel Aviv Carmel market on Nov. 1, 2004, in which 3 people were killed.
