Fatah Revolutionary Council members call for violence to continue against “Nazi” Israel

Official PA TV, special broadcast on violent Arab riots and Hamas rocket barrages

Fatah Revolutionary Council member Wafa Zakarneh: “We say to our leadership and our people that this Zionist enemy is only answered with force. We say to our people: …We hope and ask them that your bullets be aimed only at the enemy, or aimed at the sky, and not aimed at our people. Let your rifles not be rifles of highway robbers aimed at our people… If you are patriots, your bullets need to be against the occupation only. And we see how the occupation- All its rifles and all its bullets and all the means are aimed at our people, our children, and our women.”

Fatah Revolutionary Council member Omar Al-Haroub: “This is barbarity, this is wildness, this is the new Nazism that we learned about in books on Hitler – today we are seeing it and we are witness to it in the Palestinian streets from this despicable occupation… The occupation and the Zionist movement are based on killing and crimes.”

Fatah Revolutionary Council member Khawla Al-Azraq: “All of historical Palestine is uniting, in Lod, Ramle, Nazareth, Umm Al-Fahm (i.e., all Israeli cities), Ramallah, Bethlehem, all the areas to tell this occupier: The time has come for you to leave our land, the time has come for you to leave our holy sites, our Jerusalem. This land is not enough for us and them – this is Palestine for the Canaanite Palestinianswho have been on this land for thousands of years (sic., the Palestinians have no connection to the Canaanites and no history prior to modern times).”

PLO Central Council member and Fatah Revolutionary Council member Abd Al-Ilah Atteereh: “This is a scene of honor. This is a scene of strength. This is a scene of rejecting the oppression. This is a scene of refusing to submit. This scene tells criminal, Nazi, fascist [Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin] Netanyahu and all his supporters that the Palestinian people has said the word: ‘Enough!’ …The scene now says: We are continuing the confrontation with the occupation. There is no evading [it] and no contempt from now on. We have been going for peace for more than 27 years – negotiations and more. We respected [the agreements], the enemy did not respect them; they want us dead or gone. No! We are standing firm on the land in ongoing popular and not popular resistance, with all the means that Allah enables for us (i.e., term used by Palestinians, which also refers to the use of violence and terror).”

These statements were made during the 2021 violent Palestinian riots and Hamas rockets - On May 10, 2021, the terror organization Hamas launched numerous rocket barrages targeting Israeli population centers. Over a period of 10 days, Hamas and Islamic Jihad fired over 3,500 rockets into Israel from the Gaza Strip, killing 9 Israelis, and 3 foreign nationals (1 Indian caregiver and 2 Thai foreign laborers) and wounding hundreds. In response, Israel launched Operation Guardian of the Walls to target Hamas terror leaders and terror infrastructure. The Israeli army also confronted terror activity in the West Bank, and was deployed to maintain order in Israeli cities with a mixed Jewish and Arab population, where Israeli Arabs violently rioted and attacked Jews with guns, knives, and firebombs, killing 1 Israeli. In return, Jews started attacking Arabs and Arab businesses as well. Hamas’ launching of rockets followed weeks of violent Arab riots in Jerusalem. The PA’s ostensible pretexts for the wave of Arab violence were PA elections being prevented in Jerusalem; Israeli security barricades at the Damascus Gate of Jerusalem's Old City to prevent disturbances (which were later removed following violent riots); and the planned eviction of several Arab families illegally living in properties in the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood of East Jerusalem owned by Jews who were expelled in the 1948 Israeli War of Independence.

The terms “all means,” “all means of resistance,” “all forms,” are ‎used by PA leaders to include using all types of violence, including deadly terror ‎against Israeli civilians such as stabbings and shootings, as well as throwing rocks and Molotov Cocktails.
