Northern Israeli city of Safed is “occupied,” says writer on PA TV

Writer Shuja Safadi: “I was born in 1977 in the Al-Tuffah neighborhood of Gaza City. The original city where my father was born is Al-Majdal (i.e., Ashkelon, an Israeli coastal city) and the [familial] roots stretch to occupied Safed (i.e., a city in northern Israel), which is the source of the family.”
