PA TV lie: Palestinian terrorists do not kill “children and civilians,” Israel does

Official PA TV program From the Israeli Archive, an Israeli news program on the hijacking of Sabena Flight 571 is played and explained in Arabic by official PA TV host Nasser Al-Lahham

Official PA TV host Nasser Al-Lahham: “This airport was established in front of Ramle, and [its name] remained Lod Airport until 1972 or 1974 (sic., 1973). In their newspapers and in the Israeli Parliament, the Israelis say Lod Airport and don’t say Ben Gurion Airport (sic., the old name is not widely used). It is our airport. It is the Palestinians’ airport and the Palestinian people’s property, and its runways belong to the Palestinian people (sic., the airport was built by the British Mandate on land later designated for Israel by the UN partition plan, and came under Israeli control in the 1948 War of Independence)…

Once again it was proven that terror is Jewish, terror isn’t Palestinian at all… In all the operations (i.e., terror attacks), whether airplane hijackings or carrying out operations, and even in the latest operation near Nablus (a pparently refers to attack on Dec. 4, 2021 near Jerusalem’s Damascus Gate, which is known as “Nablus Gate,” in which terrorist Muhammad Shawkat Salima wounded 1 civilian; see note below -Ed.), the Palestinian fighters from Fatah, the Popular Front [for the Liberation of Palestine] (PFLP), the Democratic Front [for the Liberation of Palestine] (DFLP), and all the factions, with all due respect to them, each one with its own name, and from the Hamas Movement – they refused to kill children and civilians (sic., Palestinian terrorists have frequently murdered children and civilians)… With this preface I wanted to tell you that our self-sacrificing fighters, our fighters, and our members of Fatah, the PFLP, and Hamas, and all the self-sacrificing fighters of the Palestinian revolution do not murder children and civilians, while Israel does murder children and civilians.

The official PA TV program From the Israeli Archive is hosted by Nasser Al-Lahham, who is also the Editor in Chief of the independent Palestinian news agency Ma’an.

Hijacking of Sabena Flight 571 – Four PLO terrorists – Ali Taha Abu Snina, Abed Al-Aziz Atrash, Rima Tannous, and Theresa Halsa – hijacked Sabena Flight 571 from Vienna to Tel Aviv on May 8, 1972, taking the 90 passengers and 10 crew members hostage and separating the Jewish and Israeli passengers from the other passengers on the plane. When the plane landed in Lod Airport in Israel, the terrorists demanded that Israel release 315 Palestinian terrorist prisoners or else they would blow up the plane. The hijacking was planned by Ali Hassan Salameh, commander of operations in Europe of the Black September terror organization – a secret branch of Fatah. Israel mounted a rescue operation led by Ehud Barak (who later served as Israeli Prime Minister), in which Benjamin Netanyahu (who also later served as Israeli Prime Minister) participated. During the rescue, one passenger, 22-year-old Miriam Anderson, was killed, as were the two male hijackers, Abu Snina and Atrash. The two female hijackers, Tannous and Halsa, were captured and sentenced to life imprisonment, but were released in November 1983 in a prisoner exchange deal in which Fatah released 6 captive Israeli soldiers and Israel released 4,700 terrorists held in Lebanon and 65 terrorists held in Israel.

Muhammad Shawkat Salima – 25-year-old Palestinian terrorist who stabbed and wounded 1 Israeli civilian near the Damascus Gate of the Old City of Jerusalem on Dec. 4, 2021, and then attempted to stab 2 Israeli border police officers who shot and killed him in self-defense. Security camera footage shows Salima repeatedly lunged at the officers even after being shot, causing them to continue firing out of fear he was trying to detonate a suicide bomb or use another weapon.
