Official PA news agency misrepresents the four species as “sacrifices”

Headline: “Settlers invade the Al-Aqsa Mosque, and the ‘Temple’ organizations call to bring ‘sacrifices’ into the mosque”

“The Jerusalem Islamic Waqf [Department] reported that dozens of settlers invaded the Al-Aqsa Mosque in groups through the Mughrabi Gate, carried out provocative tours, held Talmudic (i.e., Jewish) rituals in its plazas, and listened to explanations about the alleged ‘Temple.’

On the same issue, ‘the Temple organizations’ submitted a petition to the occupation’s [Israeli] Supreme Court to allow the settlers to blow the shofar (i.e., ceremonial horn) at the Al-Aqsa Mosque during the Hebrew Rosh Hashana (i.e., the Jewish New Year)…

They also demanded to allow them to bring in ‘Sukkot plant sacrifices,’ which are known as ‘the four species’ (sic., the four species waved during the holiday of Sukkot are not a sacrifice)… during the Sukkot holiday.”

Break-in/Invasion/attack of Al-Aqsa Mosque - The PA and its leaders misrepresent all of the Temple Mount as an integral part of the Al-Aqsa Mosque. Therefore, they vilify any presence of Jews on the mount as an "invasion." It should be noted that Jews who visit the Temple Mount only enter some sections of the open areas, and do not enter the Al-Aqsa Mosque or the Dome of the Rock. Israeli police ban Jewish prayer at the Temple Mount because of threats of violence by Palestinians.

"Extremist/Alleged Jewish Temple organizations" refer to religious Jewish movements including the Temple Mount Institute, the Temple Mount Heritage Foundation, the Initiative for Jewish Freedom on the Temple Mount, and Students for the Temple Mount, which spread awareness of the importance of the Temple Mount in Judaism and encourage people to visit the site.
