Fatah Jenin Secretary: “Only through the rifle will Palestine be liberated”

Nan Jacques Zilberdik  |

Fatah Jenin Secretary called for terror before recent attack:

  • Murderers who butchered fathers with axes and knives in front of their children at a park are “moral” because “they refused to kill women, children, and elderly”

  • “Battle continues… blood for blood”

  • “There is a conflict, and the only language between us and the occupation is the language of the resistance and the rifle”

  • ”Comprehensive confrontation” with Israel, deadly terror attack was “heroic operation”

  • Mothers of terrorist “Martyrs” vow to “follow in their path”

  • Fatah glorifies terrorists, among them murderer of 5

A few weeks ago an Israeli major was ambushed and killed by terrorists near Jenin. In recent months, several terrorists have come from the city – for years an infamous hotbed for terrorists. The attacks against Israelis are promoted by the Fatah Movement’s secretary in Jenin, who has stressed his support for terrorists and promoted additional terror attacks.

Referring to the killing of the Israeli soldier as a “heroic operation,” Fatah’s Jenin Branch Secretary Ata Abu Rmeileh announced a ”comprehensive confrontation” with Israel:

Fatah Jenin Branch Secretary Ata Abu Rmeileh: “Our Palestinian people has decided on a comprehensive confrontation with this occupation. The confrontations will not stop and the resistance will not stop… This (i.e., murder of Israeli soldier) is a heroic operation of the Al-Aqsa Martyrs’ Brigades, Fatah’s military wing. This is not a strike but general mourning over the Martyrs [Ahmed Abed and Abd Al-Rahman Abed], but on the other hand there is general joy in all the streets and all the alleys.”

Not only did Abu Rmeileh glorify the recent attack and murder, but in the weeks and months prior to the attack he called for bloodshed.

At an event marking the death of two other terrorists, the Jenin secretary called for Israel's destruction through terror, saying “only through the rifle will Palestine be liberated.” On the same occasion, mothers of the terrorist “Martyrs” vowed to “follow in their path”:

Mother of terrorist Muhammad Al-Azizi: “The message of Muhammad Al-Azizi ‘Abu Saleh’ (i.e., terrorist, shot at Israeli soldiers), has gone through and it has of course revived many hearts of young people. Allah willing, they’ll follow the same path, and the resistance will continue until the removal of the occupation. This is the generation of victory and liberation.”

Mother of terrorist Ibrahim Al-Nabulsi: “The generation of liberation is coming by Allah’s command, and the victory is coming by Allah’s command, and our Martyrs are alive and, Allah willing, we’ll follow their path. Allah willing, victory and liberation are coming…”

Fatah Jenin Branch Secretary Ata Abu Rmeileh: “On behalf of the Fatah Movement in Jenin, we have come to Nablus to emphasize the unity of the blood and the Martyrs, and that the path of our Palestinian people is resistance, and our Palestinian people is saying today that the language between us and the occupation is only resistance. The Zionists and the occupation do not want peace nor negotiations – only through the rifle will Palestine be liberated.”

[Official PA TV News, Sept. 3, 2022]

Referring to two terrorists who murdered Israeli fathers with axes and knives in front of their children and other terrorists who murdered Israeli civilians in and near Tel Aviv, Fatah Jenin Secretary Ata Abu Rmeileh called them “moral”, arguing that they “refused to kill women, children, and elderly.” He also glorified that fact that the victims were civilians who were murdered in their own home towns, saying they “struck the enemy in its home, in the heart of the Zionist colonies in occupied Palestine.” He announced that “negotiations” are a thing of the past, vowed that “the battle will continue” and called for more bloodshed – “there needs to be blood for blood” - legitimizing “the Palestinian people’s right to use all the tools of resistance, rifle against rifle”:

Fatah Jenin Secretary Ata Abu Rmeileh: “Our fighters Ra’ad Zaidan [Hazem] (i.e., terrorist, murdered 3), Diya Hamarsheh (i.e., terrorist, murdered 5), As’ad Al-Rifai, and Subhi Khamaiseh [Abu Shuqeir] (i.e., terrorists, murdered 3), who struck the enemy in its home, in the heart of the Zionist colonies in occupied Palestine - 1948 (i.e., Israel) – they refused to kill women, children, and elderly. That is the morality of the fighters and resistance members from among our Palestinian people today… There are Al-Aqsa Martyrs’ Brigades fighters (i.e., Fatah’s military wing) with us today, and we say to the entire world and to the occupation: The battle is open and it will not be stopped. The battle will continue... The occupation only understands the language of force. There are no negotiations and no peace. Today the language is the language of resistance. There needs to be blood for blood. The occupation is aiming all kinds of weapons at our Palestinian people, American and Western weapons, and it is the Palestinian people’s right to use all the tools of resistance, rifle against rifle. We are completely certain that we will triumph for this pure blood.”

[Official PA TV, Palestine This Morning, July 24, 2022]

Later he repeated his admiration for the Tel Aviv murderers and their “moral” standing, again urging the use of violence, stating that the only language between us and the occupation is the language of the resistance and the rifle”:

Fatah Jenin Branch Secretary Ata Abu Rmeileh: “This is what the occupation is: An immoral, godless occupation without values. In the Tal Al-Rabia operation (i.e., Tel Aviv terror attack, refers to terrorist Ra’ad Hazem murdering 3), Or Yehuda operation (sic., evidently refers to terrorists As'ad Al-Rifai and Subhi Abu Shuqeir murdering 3 in Elad), Bnei Brak operation (i.e., terror attack, refers to terrorist Diya Hamarsheh murdering 5), and these places, our heroes avoided killing women and children, but the occupation does not differentiate. Yesterday [Sept. 5, 2022] they put the residents of the building where Ra’ad [Hazem] lived in the middle of the street so that they would be human shields for the occupation’s soldiers (sic., evidently refers to Israeli forces evacuating the building prior to demolishing Hazem’s apartment for the residents’ safety)…

From now on, anyone who says that Palestine is from Rafah to Jenin is a traitor – Palestine is from Rafah to Rosh HaNikra (i.e., Israeli town on Israel’s northern border with Lebanon), to Umm Al-Rashrash (i.e., the Israeli city of Eilat) on the Red Sea. There is a conflict, and the only language between us and the occupation is the language of the resistance and the rifle.”

[Official PA TV, Sept. 6, 2022]

Abu Rmeileh has also warned that Israel “will pay the price”:
Fatah Jenin Branch Secretary Ata Abu Rmeileh: “Now the resistance members are attacking in all areas, as happened in the Jordan Valley operation (refers to a shooting attack on an Israeli bus carrying soldiers in which 7 were wounded on Sept. 4, 2022 -Ed.) against the settlers and the occupation’s soldiers. The occupation will pay the price. This pure blood – Allah willing it will not be spilled in vain. If the occupation wants to invade [our territory] it needs to come with all its forces. The Palestinian people is a free people and it will defeat the occupation, Allah willing.”

[Official PA TV, Palestine This Morning, Sept. 5, 2022]

But Fatah’s Jenin secretary is far from a lonely voice, rather he expresses, as PMW has documented, the overall ideology of PA Chairman Mahmoud Abbas’ Fatah party. Fatah’s endorsement of and admiration for terrorists and murderers is evident in this video tribute in which Fatah included numerous photos of recent terrorist “Martyrs”:

Among the terrorists are (according to appearance in the video, see full details below):

Terrorist Ibrahim Al-Nabulsi, member of the Al-Aqsa Martyrs’ Brigades, responsible for numerous shooting attacks

Terrorist murderer Diya Hamarsheh, who murdered 5

Terrorists Tayseer Jabari and Khaled Mansour, senior commanders of the Islamic Jihad terror organization killed during Operation Breaking Dawn

Terrorist murderer Ra'ad Hazem, who murdered 3

Terrorist Muhammad Al-Dakhil, member of Fatah terror cell, participated in shooting attacks

Terrorist Adham Mabrouka Al-Shishani, member of Fatah terror cell, participated in shooting attacks

Terrorist Muhammad Arayshi, member of the Al-Aqsa Martyrs’ Brigades

Terrorist Islam Sobeh, member of the Al-Aqsa Martyrs’ Brigades

Terrorist Jamil Al-Amouri

Terrorist Bakir Hashash

Terrorist Ahmed Al-Sa’adi, Islamic Jihad commander

Terrorist Daoud Zubeidi, member of the PA Security Forces

Lyrics: “We walked the path
We fought the war
And we are still here
Death is above us
And death is around us
And we are still here
We walked the path
We fought the war
And we are still here
Death is above us
And death is around us
And we are still here
For the sake of the land
Difficulty becomes insignificant
We stood firm
For the sake of the people
We drank the [bitter] cup [of death]
And stood firm
We walked the path
We fought the war
And we are still here
Death is above us
And death is around us
And we are still here”

Another video from Fatah-run Awdah TV shows Palestinians throwing rocks, armed terrorists, and terrorists from the Jenin area, while a song is played in the background praising “heroic Jenin” which “until death” will “never surrender”:

Lyrics: “(The following is also in the text posted with the video -Ed.)
Allah, Allah, Allah!
Allah loved it with its determination
And strengthened the homeland with it
This is heroic Jenin
Which is standing by its refusal

(The following is only in the song -Ed.)
Until death it will not breach a promise
It will never surrender in humiliation
From grandfather to child to child
It is defeating its enemies”

[Official Fatah Facebook page, Sept. 30, 2022]

As PMW has documented, Fatah is no longer hiding the central role it plays in terror against Israel, on the contrary – the movement brags about it.

The following is more information on the terrorists mentioned above:

Ahmed Abed and Abd Al-Rahman Abed - Palestinian terrorists and members of the Al-Aqsa Martyrs' Brigades (Fatah's military wing) who shot and killed Israeli army officer Maj. Bar Falah, deputy commander of the Nahal brigade, at Jalame checkpoint near Jenin on Sept. 14, 2022. Other soldiers returned fire, killing the two terrorists. Ahmed Abed was an officer in the PA Security Forces. Fatah officially took responsibility for the attack in a Facebook post that was subsequently removed.

Palestinian terrorists who shot at Israeli soldiers conducting a counter-terror operation in Nablus on July 24, 2022. The soldiers returned fire, killing Sobeh and Al-Azizi.

Ibrahim Al-Nabulsi

Ra'ad Hazem - 28-year-old Palestinian terrorist and PA Security Forces member who shot and murdered 3 Israeli civilians - 27-year-olds Tomer Morad and Eytam Magini and 35-year-old Barak Lufan - and wounded 14 others when he opened fire on a crowded bar on Dizengoff Street in central Tel Aviv on April 7, 2022. Hazem escaped the scene of the attack and was found hiding near a mosque in Jaffa by Israeli security forces several hours later. He opened fire on them and was killed in the ensuing shootout.

Diya Ahmed Hassan Hamarsheh - Palestinian terrorist and Fatah member who shot and murdered 5 people - Israeli civilians Rabbi Avishai Yehezkel and Ya'akov Yisrael Shalom, Israeli police officer Amir Khoury, and 2 foreign workers from Ukraine identified as Alexander and Dmitry - in Bnei Brak near Tel Aviv on March 29, 2022. An Israeli police officer shot and killed Hamarsheh, ending the attack. Hamarsheh, from Ya'abad near Jenin, had been working in Israel illegally. He was imprisoned for 6 months in 2015 for dealing in illegal weapons and membership in a terror organization.

As'ad Al-Rifai and Subhi Abu Shuqeir

Jamil Al-Amouri, Wisam Abu Zaid, Adham Yasser Aliwi, and Tayseer Mahmoud Ayaseh – Israeli undercover forces attempted to arrest wanted Islamic Jihad terrorists Jamil Al-Amouri and Wisam Abu Zaid while they were hiding in Jenin next to a PA military intelligence building on June 10, 2021, in order to prevent the two from committing imminent shooting attacks after they had committed attacks in the previous months. The two attempted to flee, at which point the Israeli forces opened fire, killing Al-Amouri and wounding and arresting Abu Zaid. Because the Israeli forces were operating undercover, the PA Security Forces had not been notified in advance in order not to blow their cover, and as the Israeli forces were preparing to leave the area, PA military intelligence officers Adham Yasser Aliwi and Tayseer Mahmoud Ayaseh opened fire on them, possibly unaware they were Israeli security forces. The forces returned fire, killing Aliwi and Ayaseh. According to reports, video from the event shows someone at the scene shouting out to identify the Israeli undercover forces, but Aliwi and Ayaseh apparently continued to fire despite the shouts.

Tal Al-Rabia is the Palestinians’ Arabic translation of Tel Aviv, to wrongly imply the existence of an Arab village of that name prior to Tel Aviv.

Following the arrest of Islamic Jihad's West Bank commander Bassam Al-Sa'adi on Aug. 1, 2022, the terror organization planned to attack Israeli civilians living near the Gaza Strip, according to Israeli military intelligence.

Tayseer Jabari and southern Gaza commander Khaled Mansour. Islamic Jihad fired over 1,100 rockets and missiles at Israeli residential areas, with approximately 200 rockets falling short inside Gaza, killing at least 16 Palestinian residents including children. Hamas reported a total of 44 Palestinians killed during the operation, at least 15 of whom were members of terror organizations. Operation Breaking Dawn ended with a ceasefire under Egyptian mediation on Aug. 7, 2022.

Adham Mabrouka Al-Shishani, Muhammad Al-Dakhil, and Ashraf Mubaslat – Palestinian terrorists and members of the Al-Aqsa Martyrs’ Brigades (Fatah’s military wing) who were shot and killed by Israeli security forces in Nablus on Feb. 8, 2022. When killed the terrorists were armed with two M-16 semi-automatic assault rifles and intelligence indicated that they were planning an imminent terror attack. The terrorists had already committed six shooting attacks against Israeli civilians and soldiers in previous weeks, among them: Jan. 25, 2022 - shooting on an Israeli military post near Nablus. Jan. 27, 2022 - shooting on a military post between the Israeli towns of Elon Moreh and Itamar east of Nablus. Jan. 29, 2022 - shooting on an Israeli military vehicle as it drove next to the PA village of Tell southwest of Nablus. Feb. 2, 2022 - shooting on a military post at an entrance to Nablus. PMW was unable to determine the details of the remaining two attacks, which reportedly targeted Israeli towns.

Palestinian terrorist and member of the Al-Aqsa Martyrs' Brigades (Fatah's military wing) who shot at Israeli soldiers during a counter-terror operation they were conducting in Nablus on Aug. 9, 2022, in which terrorist Ibrahim Al-Nabulsi resisted arrest and was killed along with two other terrorists. The soldiers returned fire and wounded Arayshi, who died of his wounds on Aug. 23, 2022.

Palestinian terrorist and member of the Al-Aqsa Martyrs’ Brigades (Fatah’s military wing) killed together with terrorist Ibrahim Al-Nabulsi in Nablus on Aug. 9, 2022, when Al-Nabulsi resisted arrest and shot at Israeli soldiers who returned fire

22-year-old Palestinian terrorist and Fatah member who shot at Israeli soldiers in the Balata refugee camp next to Nablus on Jan. 6, 2022. The soldiers returned fire and killed Hashash

Ahmed Al-Sa’adi – Palestinian Islamic Jihad terrorist who shot at Israeli security forces who were conducting a counter-terror operation in Jenin on April 9, 2022, following the murder of 3 in Tel Aviv on April 7, 2022 by terrorist Ra'ad Hazem from Jenin. Al-Sa’adi was killed in the ensuing shootout.

Daoud Zubeidi – Palestinian terrorist and member of the PA Security Forces who shot at Israeli soldiers in Jenin on May 13, 2022. Israeli Police officer Noam Raz was murdered in the attack. Zubeidi was wounded in the exchange of fire and died of his wounds two days later.
