Op-ed on Official PA Daily glorifies terrorist Uday Al-Tamimi, incites terror

Excerpt of an op-ed by Hassan Hmeid, a Palestinian writer from Damascus

Headline: “Our souls are going to you!”

“What a gilded sight this is, which reminds us of the sights of the great legends, O beloved son Uday Al-Tamimi (i.e., terrorist, murdered 1). What love you experienced, and what love experienced you, until you became the picture of our dreams and the joy of our souls. How our children immediately imitated you in their games, and how our young people in the Shuafat refugee camp followed your footsteps and shaved their heads to look like you and to mislead the Israelis more and more. What a difficult path you pioneered, and here is Salah Al-Breiki (i.e., violent rioter killed while participating in confrontations with Israeli soldiers), your comrade, your brother and the brother of your soul, your blood and your steps; yesterday he shaved his head and today (sic., on Oct. 19, 2022) he joined you as a Martyr…

Meanwhile other comrades will join you after they read your will… and they saw you in this one of a kind confrontation, in which you were the illuminated one in the darkness next to the gate of the settlement of Ma’ale Adumim (refers to security camera footage of Al-Tamimi shooting at security guards -Ed.). So do not fear, and do not flee or surrender…

O precious son, know that through your great act you have restored our national sun to us, so that it will shine in the long night that our enemy, our antithesis, prepared for us 70 and more years ago…

O precious son, turn towards us… so that you will see our souls that you illuminated with your noble act.
