About: Progressive Democratic Student Alliance

About me: A democratic student framework with a progressive national identity opposing the Zionist occupation, which rejects all manners of taking control, status exploitation, and national, gender-based, or religious oppression… It strives to disseminate an advanced national awareness among the students, and a strengthening of personality on the basis of concepts of popular democracy…

Our political vision:

  1. We believe in our historical right to all of the Palestinian land, from the [Mediterranean] Sea to the [Jordan] River, and we reject any agreement that will disparage our historical rights, and [reject] recognition of the Zionist entity state. We believe that the just solution to our problem lies in the return of the Palestinian refugees, self-determination, and the establishment of the democratic state of Palestine on all of the national land.
  2. We reject normalization [with the Zionist entity], in all its forms and types, and are against all of the Palestinian-Israeli peace camps that are being held in the world.
  3. We in the [Student] Alliance believe in the Arabness of the Palestinian cause; we believe that Arab unity is the origin and the path to liberation; and therefore we believe in national and leftist Arab revolutionary alliances in order to deal with Zionism, imperialism, and reactionism, which are destroying the Arab liberation project.

  4. We in the Student Alliance believe in popular waras the path to liberation by using all forms of political, social, and organizational struggle. We also think that armed struggle is the most exalted path of struggle for rescuing and liberating Palestine and restoring the national rights…

We are working to make the university studies national so that the curricula will first of all serve the matter of liberation from the occupation; establishing [study] tracks that will constitute an infrastructure and build a historical framework of the Palestinian cause; and working to legislate a law against normalization at Birzeit University.
