PA TV host: “Dear viewers, we’ll go with you now to the same town of Silat Al-Dhar in the Jenin District to visit the family of the two prisoners, Samer and Sami Abu Diak who are sentenced to life in prison. We wish you freedom.”…
Samer and Sami Abu Diak’s mother: “Samer has been in prison for eight years and has a life sentence [and an additional] 30 years. Sami has been in prison for 11 years already and was sentenced to three life sentences and [an additional] 30 years.”
Prisoner Ahmed Abu Kader’s mother is interviewed and wishes Samer and Sami Abu Diak freedom…
Samer and Sami Abu Diaks’ father: “It was the same with Sami. He was wanted [by the Israeli security forces] and was wounded twice, of course, the first time he was wounded in his leg and the second time in his head and hand, [Sami], also, the same thing, he loved Martyrdom (Shahada), he aimed for Martyrdom.”

Ahmed Abu Kader is serving 11 life sentences + 50 years. He is a senior official in the in Al-Aqsa Martyrs’ Brigades and was convicted as responsible for the murder of nine Israelis: Six at a private Bar Mitzva celebration in Hadera (January 2002), two at a hotel in Netanya (March 2002), and one border police officer.
Samer Abu Diak was head of the Fatah movement in the West Bank town of Silat Al-Dhar. He was arrested in January 2005 while purportedly on his way to carry out a shooting attack. He was arrested on charges of responsibility for multiple shooting attacks, but PMW has been unable to verify the specific nature of his crimes.
