[PA] President [Mahmoud Abbas’] advisor on Foreign Affairs and International Relations Nabil Shaath, who represented President Mahmoud Abbas at the ceremony, said: ‘The president gave me the honor of participating in this ceremony and personally conveying his congratulations…’

He added: ‘The intifada of the [Arab] residents of Jerusalem used the bowing of the worshippers to the ground in order to say to the enemies that Jerusalem is ours, that the Al-Aqsa Mosque is ours, and that we will never concede them. This struggle that took shape recently in Jerusalem unified all of Jerusalem. Therefore, we see Palestinian Christians praying together with their Muslim brothers at the Al-Aqsa Mosque.’”
