Gazan employees who were forced to retire will go back to their jobs

Headline: "The [PA] government to Donia Al-Watan: The decision to pension off [employees] is still in force regarding the salaries of the health and education employees"

"Palestinian [PA] Government Spokesman Yusuf Al-Mahmoud emphasized that [PA] President Mahmoud Abbas and [PA] Prime Minister Rami Hamdallah have decided to allow employees of the [PA] Ministry of Health and Ministry of Education in the Gaza Strip – who were pensioned off early – to continue to carry out their work and provide services to the residents of the Gaza Strip.

Al-Mahmoud added [to his statements] to [the independent Palestinian news agency] Donia Al-Watan: 'In order to prevent a vacuum in the health and education sectors in the Gaza Strip, and in response to calls from our residents in Gaza, we have [decided to] allow health and education employees to carry out their jobs in the schools and hospitals in Gaza.'…

Regarding the salaries of the employees who will be allowed to return to their work, Al-Mahmoud answered briefly: 'The pension decision is still in force regarding the salaries, and this will be reexamined if Hamas consents to the end of the [Hamas-Fatah] rift.'"
