Arab rioters in Jerusalem cheer after rocket sirens sound in the city

Official PA TV, special broadcast on violent Arab riots in Jerusalem

Official PA TV reporter: “We will start with this image, a state of celebration and joy that is encompassing the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood [of Jerusalem], where the homes threatened with expropriation are located (refers to planned eviction of Arabs illegally living in properties owned by Jews who were expelled in the 1948 Israeli War of Independence, see below -Ed.). Those identifying [with them] are celebrating here after the sirens were sounded loudly in Jerusalem, as a warning of the resistance firing [rockets] and rockets flying towards Israel (refers to Hamas terrorists launching rockets at Jerusalem from the Gaza Strip -Ed.).” …

Official PA TV host: “You are saying now, and indeed what is happening is sirens are being sounded in Jerusalem at this moment. We will try to get information about what is happening, please continue speaking. What is happening at this moment?”

Reporter: “Yes, what is happening is the launching of a barrage of rockets from the Gaza Strip towards Israel. The sound of the sirens has thundered throughout Israel, in addition to Jerusalem. Those identifying [with the homes] here broke into revolutionary songs and songs of encouragement and motivation to raise the enthusiasm here in the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood. With the first sounding of the sirens, a state of joy spread and encompassed those identifying [with the residents of Sheikh Jarrah] who made sounds of joy, and they are continuing to this moment.”
