Arab funds give the PA a $50 million financial grant

Official PA TV newsreader: “[PA] Prime Minister Dr. Muhammad Shtayyeh showed appreciation for the $50 million financial grant given by the Arab and Islamic funds to support the development initiatives in the West Bank, the Gaza Strip, and occupied Jerusalem for the current year [of 2021]. In the first stage of these initiatives $10 million will be approved for building and expanding a number of schools in the West Bank and Gaza Strip, in addition to initiatives of equipment and furniture for the maternity hospitals in the Al-Shifa Medical Complex in Gaza City, and the project of constructing and renovating the public and commercial residential properties and structures in Jerusalem. The remaining amount from the grant will be allocated to support various development initiatives before the end of July this year [2021], in addition to supporting the construction of schools in the West Bank and Gaza Strip, and an allocation of $10 million to support the housing initiatives in Jerusalem.”
