PA Prime Minister Muhammad Shtayyeh: “Jerusalem is ours and it proves every day that it is the key to peace and the key to war, and the hearts of the Arabs – the Muslims and Christians – are directed towards it, since it is the first direction of [Muslim] prayer and the city of [Prophet Muhammad’s] Ascent to Heaven. Our lord messiah [Jesus] dealt with the tyrants from it, and for the sake of Jerusalem we will maintain our Palestinian national unity.”
