PA TV host distorts Israeli historical report, inventing massacres and “settlements”

Official PA TV program From the Israeli Archive, an Israeli news item in Hebrew about the 1948 Israeli War of Independence is played and explained in Arabic by official PA TV host Nasser Al-Lahham

Official PA TV host Nasser Al-Lahham: “(The Hebrew narrator says: “A profound debate was held on the question of whether to evacuate from the communities,” referring to the evacuation of children and mothers from several Jewish communities in the Negev during the 1948 war -Ed.)

There was a question for the Zionist movement: ‘Evacuating the settlements, yes or no?’ Not ‘confrontation, yes or no,’ but rather how will the settlers be evacuated and returned to Tel Aviv? …Thus, from the archive [we see how] the children were evacuated from the settlements…

(The Hebrew narrator says: “The evacuation by foot was carried out on the night of May 17” -Ed.)

The evacuation from the settlements was carried out on May 17, two days after Israel declared itself a state…

(The Hebrew narrator says: “In the morning the procession of children reached Gedera” -Ed.)

In the morning the procession of children from the settlements who were evacuated reached Gedera…

(An elderly Arab resident of Lod says in Hebrew: “This, you see, this great tree; my entire family [was] there, 150 people – everyone fled” -Ed.)

They slaughtered 150 Arabs here under this tree, and the rest fled.”
