Israeli culture is based on “falsification, fabrication, and fraud,” says Palestinian columnist

Excerpt of an op-ed by Hassan Hmeid, a Palestinian writer from Damascus

“Whenever one of my friends who arrived from our precious land Palestine asked me what I want, I would ask for two things: first – the new book that was recently published, which deals with one of the experiences of our brave prisoners in the Israeli enemy’s detention camps; and secondly – the new book that was translated from Hebrew to Arabic. The reason for this is that these two books have a most important national significance…

Regarding the book translated from Hebrew, it reveals the mentality of our Israeli enemy, its practices, and its dreams. Actually, in these books, which we have gotten to know many of them, there are only two things: [first] – the lie about its various causes – falsification, fabrication, and fraud…; and secondly – the culture of intimidation, putting to death, imposing fear, uprooting, destruction, and ruin that it adopts, and whose only goal is destroying the Palestinian people by all the barbaric means.”
