PLO official about 5-year PA terror campaign: The second Intifada was “peaceful”

PLO Executive Committee member Azzam Al-Ahmad: “It is our right to stand against [them]. Even the second Al-Aqsa Intifada (i.e., PA terror campaign 2000-2005, more than 1,100 Israelis murdered) was a peaceful intifada.Weapons weren’t used in it at all – only after 84 Palestinian Martyrs died and then there was no choice for the people except to defend.”

The second Intifada/The Al-Aqsa Intifada - Palestinian terror campaign 2000-2005, directed and controlled by the PA, during which Palestinians carried out numerous terror attacks including suicide bombings. More than 1,100 Israelis were murdered.

Azzam Al-Ahmad also serves as head of the PLO Department of Arab and Parliamentary Affairs, Fatah Central Committee member, Fatah Commissioner of National Relations, and Fatah Commissioner for Relations with Lebanon.
