Israel kills evil terror leaders; PA defends the murderers

Itamar Marcus  |

Last night Israel attacked multiple terror locations of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ) terror organization in the Gaza Strip, including 3 homes of terror leaders, terror infrastructures, weapon storehouses, and manufacturing sites.

The PA has once again sided with the terrorists.

In last night’s attacks, Israel killed three of the Islamic Jihad’s top leaders, Khalil Al-Bahtini, Tareq Izz Al-Din, and Jihad Al-Ghannam who are responsible for rocket attacks at Israel, including 104 rockets launched at Israeli civilian targets last week, and terror attacks in Judea and Samaria/West Bank. 10 others, primarily their relatives, were also killed.

Jihad Al-Ghannam was a terror leader for many years. Already in 2004, he was responsible for the murder of Tali Hatuel and her four daughters, Hila, Hadar, Roni, and Merav, among many others.

Despite these leaders’ terror responsibility, or possibly because of it, the PA has chosen to condemn Israel and not the terrorists. The PA leaders in their statements refer to “13 civilians” killed, which shows they are defending the terror leaders as innocent “civilians.”

PA Chairman Mahmoud Abbas' official spokesman, Nabil Abu Rudeineh:

"We condemn this dangerous Israeli escalation against our people, which targeted children, women, and homes in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank, including Jerusalem, the latest of which was the killing of 13 civilians, including women and children, in the Gaza Strip, and the injury of 13 people from bullets in Nablus, in addition to the ongoing storming of Al-Aqsa Mosque. We hold the Israeli government fully responsible for this dangerous escalation that drags the region into the square of violence, tension and instability."

PA Prime Minister Muhammad Shtayyeh:

“The aggression against our people in the Gaza Strip is organized state terrorism and an attempt to export the internal crisis that the government of extremism in Israel suffers from… a practical translation of the doctrine of killing, incineration, and genocide, which those in power in Israel have long professed… [it is] an extension of the Nakba (catastrophe) that befell our people in 1948.”

Abbas’ Advisor on Religious Affairs and PA Supreme Shari’ah Judge Mahmoud Al-Habbash:

“Mahmoud Al-Habbash condemned the massacre that the Israeli occupation forces committed in the Gaza Strip early this morning, Tuesday, in which 13 civilians died as Martyrs… Al-Habbash emphasized that the terrorist gang that rules the occupation state feeds off of Palestinian blood, and that the alliance of terror and crime that this gang is comprised of is continuing to commit unlimited massacres every day against the Palestinians, including murder and desecration of the holy sites for the last 75 years…

The supreme Shari’ah judge emphasized that resistance to the occupation [PA euphemism for terror] and Jihad against it are a legitimate right anchored in all the international conventions and laws (sic., international law does not guarantee a right for Palestinian terror).”

“Supreme Shari’ah Judge of Palestine and [PA] President [Mahmoud Abbas’] Advisor on Religious Affairs and Islamic Relations Mahmoud Al-Habbash condemned the massacre that the Israeli occupation forces committed in the Gaza Strip early this morning, Tuesday [May 9, 2023], due to which 13 civilians died as Martyrs, including children and women (refers to targeted strikes that killed senior Islamic Jihad officials Khalil Al-Bahtini, Tareq Izz Al-Din, and Jihad Al-Ghannam -Ed.).

In a press release, Al-Habbash emphasized that the terrorist gang that rules the occupation state feeds off of Palestinian blood, and that the alliance of terror and crime that this gang is comprised of is continuing to commit unlimited massacres every day against the Palestinians, including murder and desecration of the holy sites for the last 75 years…

The supreme Shari’ah judge emphasized that resistance to the occupation and Jihad against it are a legitimate right anchored in all the international conventions and laws (sic., international law does not guarantee a right for Palestinian terror), and that the international community must understand that silence over Israel’s policy and its aggression will only lead to additional spilling of Palestinian blood.

He emphasized that the despicable crimes that the occupation is committing against our people will not break its willpower, and that we will continue to adhere to our rights until the occupation passes and until its leaders are punished as war criminals and murderers.”

Headline: “Prime Minister Shtayyeh describes Israel’s aggression against Gaza as organized state terrorism”

“RAMALLAH, Tuesday, May 9, 2023 (WAFA) - Prime Minister Mohammad Shtayyeh today strongly condemned what he described as ‘the horrific massacre’ committed by the Israeli occupation authorities against the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip in which 13 people were killed, among them four women and four children, and more than 20 wounded, describing the aggression as organized state terrorism.

‘The aggression against our people in the Gaza Strip is organized state terrorism and an attempt to export the internal crisis that the government of extremism in Israel suffers from,’ said the Prime Minister in a statement, adding that the aggression was ‘a practical translation of the doctrine of killing, incineration, and genocide, which those in power in Israel have long professed.’

Shtayyeh considered the aggression against the Gaza Strip ‘an extension of the Nakba (catastrophe) that befell our people in 1948, and a continuation of the aggression against cities, towns, villages, and refugee camps in the West Bank and occupied Jerusalem, the latest of which was the storming of the city of Nablus this morning and the injury of a number of the city's residents, including children, one of them was described as serious, as part of a systematic policy aimed at terrifying our people to discourage them from continuing their struggle to obtain their legitimate rights, foremost of which is their right to self-determination and the establishment of their independent state with Jerusalem as its capital.’

He called on the United Nations; which is getting ready to commemorate the 75th anniversary of the Nakba for the first time in its history, to condemn the aggression against the Gaza Strip and ‘the continuous massacres against our people, and unify the standards in dealing with the crimes committed by the leaders of Israel, and not allowing them to escape punishment.’

The Prime Minister offered his condolences to the families of the dead and instructed the Ministry of Health and all relevant ministries to send medical supplies and urgent relief aid to the Gaza Strip.”
