PFLP Committee member: “Popular resistance in all its forms, including armed resistance, is the legal right of our Palestinian people”

PA TV News interviews Imad Abu Rahma, member of the Popular Front Central Committee. PA TV host asks Abu Rahma about an agreement between the factions to move to popular resistance in all its forms and in every region of the Palestinian Interior – i.e., inside Israel.

Abu Rahma: "First of all, I want to make a correction. The Palestinian factions did not agree to peaceful resistance as the only form of resistance and struggle against the occupation."
Host: "At least in the West Bank."
Abu Rahma: "Whether in the West Bank or in Gaza, we say that this occupation carries out aggressive operations on a daily basis against our people. By the way, we are not against peaceful resistance, but we think that limiting our people's struggle and its resistance to peaceful resistance, is dangerous. It's not right, nor is it for the benefit of our people and its just struggle. We say that it is our people's right to act in all forms of the struggle against the Israeli occupation, in keeping with the resolutions of international legitimacy. International law guarantees [the right of] our Palestinian people and of all occupied peoples to use all forms of struggle. As to what sort [of struggle] is applicable at each and every stage, that is something that all the factions of Palestinian national resistance will decide. The Israeli occupation, whether we use peaceful resistance or violent resistance, will continue its aggression against our people."
[Host corrects him for saying "peaceful resistance" instead of "popular resistance"]
Abu Rahma: "Popular resistance in all its forms, including armed resistance, is the legal right of our Palestinian people in resisting the occupation. Yes."
