Abbas: Abbas accuses Israel of heritage theft, but is “prepared to fight the war for peace to the end”
Article on Abbas’ statements at the opening of the celebrations of the 47th anniversary of the Fatah movement:
"President Abbas emphasized: 'Without East Jerusalem there will be no state; there will be no Palestinian state. We know that they (i.e., Israelis) are trying to change its landmarks, to change our land, and to build over our homes and over the graves of our people, in order to erase the traces of the Palestinian people, but they will not succeed.' He added, 'More than once we have extended our hand in peace, and we still extend our hand and are prepared to fight the war for peace to the end.'"
