Yesterday, 2 Hamas terrorists opened fire at Israeli civilians at a gas station and a restaurant near the Jewish town of Eli in the West Bank, murdering 4 and wounding 4. An Israeli civilian at the scene shot and killed one of the terrorists, Muhannad Faleh Shehadeh, while the other, Khaled Mustafa Sabah, fled but was killed shortly after the attack when he tried to escape arrest by Israeli forces.
Soon after the attack, PA Chairman Mahmoud Abbas’ Fatah Movement honored the murderers as “heroic martyrs” and “men true to what they promised Allah.” The murderers were glorified as “heroic Martyrdom-seekers” while the attack at the Jewish town of Eli was coined “the heroic ‘Eli colony’ operation”:

Fatah also celebrated the murderous attack as if it were a festive holiday:
At the top right corner of the cartoon is a photo of one of the M16 assault rifles used by terrorists Muhannad Faleh Shehadeh and Khaled Mustafa Sabah, who murdered 4 Israelis.
The cartoon features a drawing of the same rifle with dots and lines added to it, creating the word “holiday” (eid), followed by the word “blessed” (mubarak), which together form the greeting “Eid Mubarak” meaning “Happy holiday,” in both a reference to the upcoming Muslim “Sacrifice Feast” holiday of Eid Al-Adha and a celebration of the lethal terror attack. The murderous attack follows a heavy gun battle between Israeli forces and Palestinian terrorists in Jenin on Monday. When Israeli forces entered Jenin to arrest 2 wanted terrorists, a roadside bomb was detonated on their vehicle and 7 soldiers were wounded. The Israeli forces were met with heavy gunfire and additional explosives were hurled at them. They returned fire and a gun battle lasting several hours ensued between them and the Palestinian terrorists. 5 Palestinians were killed, among them at least 3 Islamic Jihad terrorists.
Stressing the connection between the murder of the 4 Israelis, the independent Palestinian news agency Ma’an posted a photo of Palestinians sharing a big dish of pastry while one holds a sign saying “blood for blood”:

Following the death of the 5 Palestinian “Martyrs” in Jenin, the official PA daily praised them in a long and blunt headline, referring to terror hub Jenin as “the wellspring of Martyrdom,” and praising the terrorists – “the resistance” – for “shatter[ing] the myth of ‘the invincible [Israeli] army:

Fatah Movement Secretary in Nablus Muhammad Hamdan urged terror organizations to retaliate against Israel:
“Fatah Movement Secretary in Nablus Muhammad Hamdan called to stand alongside the Palestinian blood that is flowing from all parts of the homeland, and alongside Jenin and its refugee camp that have always supported the national causes.
He demanded that the national action brigades and military bodies, and foremost among them the Al-Aqsa Martyrs’ [Brigades] (i.e., Fatah’s military wing), respond to the aggression of the occupation, which is attempting to force us to wave a white flag.”

Mocking the Israeli forces, the PA published two cartoons. In reference to the Palestinian success wounding Israeli soldiers with a roadside bomb, one cartoon shows two uniformed Israeli soldiers carrying a stretcher with the word “Defeat” on it in place of a wounded person.

The PA also praised the Jenin terrorists - "the brave resistance" - through its official TV channel, bragging that they showed they are "capable" of harming Israel:

As is its habit in every case of defeat, the occupation used aerial vehicles to bomb peaceful civilians and fired a hail of bullets that also hit journalists, hospitals, and mosques (the terrorists fired at the Israeli forces from within mosques, as documented by video footage -Ed.). As a result of this, 5 citizens (sic., terrorists) including a youth died as Martyrs. 91 others were wounded, including 23 who were seriously to critically wounded…
According to Israeli reports, the resistance members in Jenin detonated explosives next to two military vehicles and opened heavy fire. According to the [Israeli news] website ‘Walla,’ the occupation army estimates that one of the vehicles was hit by an anti-tank missile…
The website ‘Walla’ said that the operation to rescue the soldiers was difficult and complicated, and it was carried out under heavy fire. Eventually the wounded among the occupation’s ranks were evacuated to Jalameh crossing, and from there were transferred to the hospitals by a military helicopter and ambulances.”

Headline: “Presidency spokesman says Israeli massacres aim to detonate the region”
“Presidential spokesman Nabil Abu Rudeineh said that the continuous massacres committed by the occupation government against Palestinian people, the latest of which was in the city of Jenin and its camp, which resulted in the killing of four Palestinians, including a child, while 45 others were wounded, 10 of them in critical condition, are attempts to detonate the area and drag it in to the violence box.
Abu Rudeineh said that the current situation cannot continue, and the international community, and the US administration in particular, must intervene to immediately stop this Israeli madness.
“The international silence is what encourages the occupation government to continue its crimes and wage an all-out war against our Palestinian people, their land and their sanctities,” he added.
The presidential spokesman said that Israel bears responsibility for thwarting all Arab and international efforts that have been made recently to prevent escalation and tension.
He stressed that the ongoing Israeli aggression against Palestinian people will not discourage them from continuing their legitimate struggle until achieving their aspirations for liberation and the establishment of their independent state with East Jerusalem as its capital.”

Muhannad Faleh Shehadeh and Khaled Mustafa Sabah – Palestinian terrorists and members of the Hamas terror organization, aged 26 and 24 respectively, who shot and murdered 4 Israelis - Elisha Antman, 18, Nachman Shmuel Mordoff, 17, Harel Masoud, 21, and Ofer Feirman, 63 - and wounded an additional 4 outside the Jewish town of Eli north of Ramallah on June 20, 2023. Shehadeh was shot and killed in self-defense by an Israeli civilian at the scene. Sabah fled but was found by Israeli forces shortly after and killed while resisting arrest.
