Increase in number of refugees is cause for UNRWA's financial crisis

PA Ambassador to the UN Riyad Mansour: “There are a number of factors that add to the severity of [UNRWA’s] financial crisis, part of which is the rise in the number of [Palestinian] refugees, the increase of the needs, and the rise of prices due to international circumstances. Also, some of the donor states that have reduced some of their contributions give excuses that there are additional international crises and new refugees who have entered the arena, and this has added to these states’ commitments regarding their contributions regarding refugees.”
