Fatah Central Committee member calls for “action,” not negotiations, to free Palestinian prisoners
PA TV live broadcast of ceremony in Jericho marking 47th anniversary of the start of the Palestinian revolution and commemorating the death of the three Shahids (Martyrs): Hael Abd Al-Hamid Abu Hol, Abu Iyad Salah Khalaf, and Abu-Muhammad Fakhri Al-Omari.
Al-Tirawi, member of the Fatah Central Committee:
"By God, even if we conduct negotiations for 100 years, no prisoner will be released; [it will happen] only through action. And I say, here action is important, until our prisoners from all the Palestinian organizations are released."
Note: Salah Khalaf (Abu Iyad) was one of the founders of the Fatah organization. He was head of the Black September branch, whose terrorist attacks included the murder of 11 Israeli athletes in the Munich Olympics in 1972.
