Palestinian prisoners hailed as academic achievers

Headline: “Two prisoners from Arraba and Al-Abidia began their 20th year in the occupation’s prisons”

“Yesterday [Aug. 11, 2023], prisoner Daoud Ahmed Sbeih (PMW was unable to determine the details of his crimes -Ed.), 52, from the village of Al-Abidia east of Bethlehem, began his 20th year in the occupation’s prisons since his arrest in 2004. The [PA-funded] Prisoners’ Club said… that the occupation sentenced him to life, and that he is a married father of seven children, the youngest of whom was in its mother’s womb at the time of [Sbeih’s] arrest. It should be noted that during the years of his imprisonment he achieved a bachelor’s degree and master’s degree.
