Fatah vows unyielding “resistance” against Israel’s “aggression”

Headline: “Fatah: The occupation’s bombing of a [Fatah] Movement headquarters in the Balata refugee camp will not dissuade it from continuing its pioneering role in resistance and leading the national project”

“The Fatah Movement said that the occupation’s bombing of a Fatah headquarters during its act of aggression against the Balata refugee camp in the early morning hours yesterday, Wednesday [Aug. 16, 2023] (refers to Israeli forces destroying a Fatah explosives laboratory and storehouse -Ed.), will not dissuade Fatah from continuing its pioneering role in resistance to the occupationand in leading the Palestinian national project, until extricating the national rights by force and establishing the independent and sovereign Palestinian state whose capital is Jerusalem.

In a statement from the [Fatah] Commission of Information, Culture, and Ideology, Fatah added that the targeting of Fatah’s headquarters, its fighters, and its activists is taking place in parallel to the occupation’s incessant aggression against our people. It emphasized that it will not be negligent in its historical role in defending our people and its rights.

Fatah also emphasized that all the occupation government’s attempts to cancel out our people’s historical and eternal presence (sic., the Palestinians have no history prior to the modern period) – including targeting Fatah due to it being the supporting pillar of the Palestinian national project – will fail.

Fatah explained that Fatah’s fighters and activists are leading the resistance to the occupation and its settlers through confrontation on the ground and repelling the incessant aggression against our people. It explained that Fatah will not deviate from its historical path and its national principles until uprooting the occupation and its settlers from the Palestinian territories.
