Fatah official: Biden’s proposal “is lacking” unless it includes “complete ending of the occupation”

Fatah Revolutionary Council member Tayseer Nasrallah: “[US President] Biden - in agreement with [Israeli Prime Minister] Netanyahu - has put forward this vision (i.e., proposal), which we say is lacking unless it includes a full [Israeli] withdrawal from the Gaza Strip. The crossings [should] be under the control of the PA, and the [Israeli] invasions and aggression in the West Bank and Jerusalem should stop. A political track [should] lead to a complete ending of the occupation of the occupied Palestinian lands and the establishment of the [Palestinian] state.”

[Official PA TV, June 2, 2024]

“This vision” refers to a proposal of ceasefire and terrorist-prisoner and hostage exchange announced by Biden on May 31, 2024 during the 2023 Gaza war.
