Palestinian Fencing Association withdrawing from the world fencing championship

"The Palestinian Fencing Association has decided to withdraw from the world fencing championship, which began yesterday in Aqaba, Jordan, owing to participation in the championship by an Israeli delegation… Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports, Dr. Jamal Al-Mohaysen, emphasized in this regard that the Palestinian sportsmen should not participate in any competition held in Arab countries with Israeli participation… It should be noted that Iraq, Tunisia and Kuwait have withdrawn from the championship for the same reason."
