Planner of murder of 5, Marwan Barghouti: “Fatah believes in the multiplicity of the types of struggle… It is the Palestinian people’s right to resist. It is our right and duty to hold onto the option of resistance. It is impossible to sacrifice the option of resistance … What happened after the Oslo [Accords] and after the establishment of the PA? Some thought that negotiations [alone] are enough to achieve the national rights, and some thought that resistance alone is enough to achieve the national rights. I [am among those] who said at the beginning of the [second] Intifada: “There is no benefit from negotiations without activity of resistance on the ground, and at the same time – it is impossible that the resistance would turn its back on the political activity.”
