Abbas Advisor: Israel plans to build synagogue in the Al-Aqsa Mosque
PA Chairman Mahmoud Abbas’ Advisor on Religious Affairs and Islamic Relations Mahmoud Al-Habbash: “The occupation authority (i.e., Israel) is attempting and advancing matters in a gradual manner to carry out a plot against Jerusalem in general and the Islamic and Christian holy sites, and particularly the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque, as part of which facts will be imposed on the ground within the mosque. This plot has been planned for years already… to prepare the conditions and groundwork for carrying out Zionist settlement by taking part of the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque and establishing a Jewish synagogue on it.”
