PA Ministry of Tourism: “The Palestinians are the true residents from the Stone Age… World Jewry has no historical connection”

PA Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities Director of Historical Sites Dirgham Al-Fares: “The occupation presents the antiquities as if they are part of its history, and this is an open falsification of history. We the Palestinian people are the true residents since the Stone Age. We were idolaters, we worshipped El, Baal, and Ishtar, and we are the ones who accepted the Jewish religion, the Christian religion, and Islam. Therefore, all the antiquities on the land of Palestine and in it are the property of the Palestinian people and part of its cultural heritage.

What connects world Jewry to Palestine is a religious connection and not an ethnic or historical connection, and this gives them a right like the rest of the religions to religious tourism under the sovereignty of the State of Palestine and not an occupation of Palestine.”

The Palestinians have no history prior to the modern period; an abundance of evidence proves Jewish history in Israel.

Genetic research has conclusively proven modern Jews share a common origin in Israel and are not the descendants of Khazars or of Himyarites – a Yemenite kingdom that converted to Judaism and lasted from the 4th-6th century CE.
