If the [military] leadership wanted to remove Netanyahu from power it would remove him, and if it wanted to get rid of him it would get rid of him as he [Netanyahu] got rid of [late Israeli PM] Rabin in 1995, when he [Netanyahu] killed Rabin and killed the peace process (sic.).”

Israeli Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin was assassinated by Israeli civilian Yigal Amir in 1995, not by Netanyahu or the Israeli military establishment.
