Abbas’ advisor denies Hamas’ attack on Oct. 7, calls war “unilateral Israeli aggression against unarmed civilians”

PA Chairman Mahmoud Abbas' Advisor on Religious Affairs and Islamic Relations Mahmoud Al-Habbash: "What is happening [in Gaza] is a unilateral war of annihilation against the Palestinian people. A war that is being waged by the Israeli tool of killing, terror, and aggression against an unarmed people, who are all civilians (i.e., Israel's response to Hamas' terror attack)… The goal of this aggressive war is not as is claimed to return the Israeli captives, to eliminate Hamas, and the like. We must not let all this deceive us. The goal is the Palestinian people in its entirety."
