Abbas’ advisor: Israel exploited Oct. 7. to launch “plot to eliminate Palestinian cause, ignite regional war”
PA Chairman Mahmoud Abbas' Advisor on Religious Affairs and Islamic Relations Mahmoud Al-Habbash: "This crazy war, the [Israeli] war of annihilation to which the Palestinian people is being subjected (i.e., the 2023 Gaza war), is a new Nakba (i.e., "the catastrophe," the establishment of Israel) through which [Israeli Prime Minister] Netanyahu exploited what happened on Oct. 7, [2023] (i.e., Hamas' terror war on Israel) and derived benefit from it in order to carry out a plot that was planned in advance in his head and in the ranks of the Israeli government to eliminate the Palestinian cause, and perhaps even to reach the point of igniting a regional war that would outline anew a large part of the political maps in the region."
