PA official: Western Wall is a Muslim trust; Israel plans to build "alleged Temple" over Al Aqsa Mosque

"Sheikh Dr. Tayseer Al-Tamimi, PA Chief Justice of religious court, and former Chairman of Supreme Council of Islamic Law, warned yesterday in his Friday address… that the occupation's announcement of plans for Jewish construction at the Al-Buraq Plaza (i.e., the Western Wall Plaza) and the demolition of the path leading to the Mughrabi Gate, to be replaced with a path allowing entry for Israeli armored vehicles, thousands of soldiers, and extremist Jewish groups, [will also allow] daily invasion of the Al-Aqsa Mosque by extremist Jewish groups, for the settlers to pray (at the Temple Mount), and by members of the right-wing Likud party, headed by Netanyahu, the Prime Minister of Israel – emphasizing Israel's intention to maintain absolute control over the Al-Aqsa Mosque, and to establish the alleged Temple on its plaza. Tamimi emphasized that the Al-Buraq Plaza (i.e., the Western Wall Plaza) is a Muslim Trust."
