"In a letter that President Mahmoud Abbas sent last night to his French counterpart, Nicholas Sarkozy, he condemned the attack on a Jewish school in Toulouse, in southern France, taking the lives of four children. In his letter, the President emphasized his opposition to violent operations against civilians, and expressed condolences to the families of the victims. Member of the PLO Executive Committee, Saeb Erekat, said: 'We denounce most stridently all acts of terror, and especially the terror incident which took place today in Toulouse, in France, costing the lives of Jewish children.' He added, 'This is an act of terror by any yardstick, and we are always against terror against innocent civilians.' He emphasized that President Abbas has always condemned these acts of terror, which are against humanity, and added, 'We emphasize to the families of the victims and the French people that we condemn this incident in the strongest terms, and express our condolences to them and to their families.'"
