How Gazans steal from their own people and blame Israel

Official PA TV reporter in Gaza: "From the moment it was announced about the approaching of what is known as the Jewish holidays [of Hanukkah], the prices have risen significantly and noticeably. For example, a kilo of sugar costs 16 shekels, but with the approach of the Jewish holidays and out of fear of closing the crossings [to Gaza], the price has risen from 19 shekels to 27 and even 30 shekels in certain areas."

[Official PA TV, December 24, 2024]

This is manipulative price gouging by Gazan merchants, since Israel has not discussed and is not planning to close any crossings to Gaza during Hanukkah nor has it raised prices.
