Abbas’ advisor: Hamas failed, we have “vomited them” out, it must “withdraw from power”

PA Chairman Mahmoud Abbas' Advisor on Religious Affairs and Islamic Relations Mahmoud Al-Habbash: "What we want now is for Hamas to understand and implement the popular demand. The people has vomited them [out] after they embarked on these adventures at the expense of the well-being of the people in the Gaza Strip (i.e., Hamas' terror war). What is now required of Hamas is to move aside and announce and acknowledge that it has failed. It must recognize this failure and withdraw from power in the Gaza Strip. It has no connection to the Gaza Strip and has no connection to managing the people in the Gaza Strip, the well-being of the people, or the future of the Gaza Strip… This is a national issue that needs to be led by the sole legal representative of the Palestinian people [the PLO], not Hamas. Hamas represents only itself or it represents the Muslim Brotherhood movement."
