Tulkarem District Governor Abdallah Kmeil: "The [Israeli] aggression was a blood-filled aggression against the Palestinians (i.e., the Gaza war). Simultaneously, there was a many-sided war in more than one place. We all monitored what happened in Lebanon, Iran, and other places. In Iraq there were attacks, and there were attacks against the Houthis in Yemen. It was a full-fledged war... The Palestinian people paid a heavy price. This is the outcome of a cruel and bloody occupation in the full sense of the word. The great responsibility lies on this occupation (i.e., Israel), which exploited what happened on Oct. 7, [2023] (i.e., Hamas' terror war on Israel) to implement what it believes about the Palestinians, and this belief is based on hatred of the Palestinians."
