Top PA official Rajoub: Ok to unity with Hamas if they “dissociate from The Muslim Brotherhood and Iran”

Fatah Central Committee Secretary Jibril Rajoub: "We want to engage in dialogue with Hamas and with the rest. We can't move to building partnership unless they disassociate themselves from all their external branches, whether it's the Muslim Brotherhood, Iran, or any other entity thinking to play the Palestinian card. This is our understanding in Fatah. We hope our brothers in Hamas will examine [itself] so that we can build the future. Oct. 7, [2023] (i.e., Hamas' launch of terror war) destroyed us, but can we deny that Hamas is part of the Palestinian people? ... I told [Hamas]: Before we move [to reconciliation], you must do two things: Hand over your weapons to the PA [Security] Forces. And announce the disconnection of your relations with all entities outside of Palestine: The Muslim Brotherhood and Iran."
