PA official: Martyrs and terrorist prisoners are “most precious thing we have” and deserving of PA salaries
Tulkarem District Governor Abdallah Kmeil: "The topic of the Martyrs and prisoners (i.e., terrorists) is the most precious thing we have as Palestinians, and therefore we cannot give up on it. The Palestinian [PA] leadership and the Palestinian people are paying for the Palestinian leadership's focus on the Palestinian prisoners and Palestinian Martyrs by paying the salaries (rawatib) to the prisoners and also to the Martyrs' relatives, which led to the financial siege on the PA (i.e., Israel's Anti "Pay-for-Slay" Law).
