"Foot-dragging," "a crime," and "a form of terror" – this is how Ramallah Governor Laila Ghannam referred to Israel's need to perform forensic checks on the bodies of its murdered hostages after Hamas tried to trick Israel with the wrong body.
Last week, Palestinian Media Watch reported that a Fatah official in The Hague also outrageously called Israel's forensic checks "foot-dragging" and "abuse." Ghannam here went a step further by also saying that the release of the terrorist murderers, many of whom were serving multiple life sentences, was a "national moment" of her people that Israel was trying to "taint."
Posted text: "Here are our released prisoners (i.e., terrorists), returning in honor and pride as part of the seventh round [of the hostages for terrorists deal] after difficult years of patience and sacrifice behind the bars of the occupation's (i.e., Israel's) prisons in order to remain a symbol of hope and resolve until all our prisoners win their freedom.
Our prisoners, including those who were released, will remain at the heart of our cause and our ongoing struggle for freedom and honor until they all return home and to the arms of their families in peace.
